Beginning as a YouTube-style video sharing site... Schoolwide Network was heavily customized by LISS to offer much, much more. Members can upload and share both video and printable content organized by numerous categories and descriptions. Other site features include: Membership & profile management; Seamless connection to Schoolwide's product inventory, associated by relevant content; In-site search engine with filtering; Ability to embed video from other sites; Comment & rating systems; Integration to over a dozen popular social networks; Extensive site administrative and moderation tools for Schoolwide staff; RSS feeds; and more. LISS also ran a year long marketing campaign to monetize the site and offer it to school districts nationwide.
